Câu chuyện của phần này sẽ tiếp nối từ Fast and Furious vào năm 2009. Chàng cựu cảnh sát Brian (Paul Walker) và bạn gái Mia (Jordana Brewster) lập kế hoạch cứu Dom (Vin Diesel) khỏi cảnh tù tội.
Tại thành phố Rio (Brazil), họ cố gắng thực hiện phi vụ cuối cùng để lật mặt tay trùm mafia đang truy đuổi mình. Trong phần này còn có sự tham gia của ngôi sao cơ bắp The Rock. Anh sẽ vào vai Luke Hobbs, điệp viên liên bang truy đuổi Brian và Dom. Tyrese Gibson và Ludacris, hai người từng xuất hiện trong phần 2 (2 Fast 2 Furious) cũng sẽ trở lại trong Fast Five.

Tài tử da màu Vin Diesel không chỉ tham gia vai chính mà còn kiêm luôn vị trí nhà sản xuất của bộ phim. Thù lao anh nhận được với hai vai trò này trong Fast Five là 15 triệu USD (khoảng 300 tỷ đồng). Rapper Ludacris sẽ thể hiện phần nhạc phim của Fast Five. Ca khúc chủ đề có tên Furiously Dangerous .
Mặc dù thiếu vắng Michelle Rodriguez (đã bị chết trong phần 4) và Eva Mendes (từng xuất hiện trong phần 2), ba mỹ nhân của Fast Five vẫn đủ làm nên sức nóng và vẻ sexy cho bộ phim. Người đẹp Panama Jordana Brewster tiếp tục thủ vai Mia, em gái Dom và là người yêu của Brian.
Sau màn xuất hiện khá ấn tượng trong phần 4, hoa hậu Israel 2004, Gal Gardot, sẽ khoe da thịt nhiều hơn trong phần này. Elsa Pataky, người mẫu Tây Ban Nha và là vợ của tài tử Chris Hemsworth đóng Thor, sẽ là mỹ nhân mới nhất của loạt bom tấn ăn khách này. [HR][/HR]
